Why we built Astro.

Most traders know they should keep a journal. Far fewer keep one, because keeping it usually means exporting CSVs, cleaning them up, and retyping trades into a spreadsheet that slowly rots. Astro started from a simple idea: the journal should fill itself in, so the only thing left to do is the part that actually helps, which is reviewing.

What Astro does

Connect a broker once and your fills flow into the journal on their own.

MetaTrader 5 and TradeLocker connect today, with more brokers being added. Entry, exit, size, and fees arrive already filled in, so the journal reflects what you traded instead of what you remembered to type. Not connected yet, or trading somewhere we do not support? Manual entry works any time, broker or not.

From there, Astro turns your closed trades into a clear read on performance, and lets you break results down by symbol, asset class, direction, and setup to see where the edge actually lives. When there is enough history to learn from, it writes a short review of what changed and what kept repeating. The same journal runs on the web and on iPhone, so a trade logged at the desk is there on the couch.

What we care about

Review over data entry

A journal earns its place by making review easy, not by giving you another form to fill in. Sync does the typing so you can spend your time reading your results.

Honest numbers

P&L, win rate, and average win versus average loss, shown plainly. No vanity dashboard, no metric that exists only to look impressive.

Your data stays yours

We do not sell your trades or your contact details, and we never will. Broker credentials are encrypted, and you can delete your account and its data at any time.

You can read exactly what we collect and how it is handled in our privacy policy.

Astro is independent, built between London and Istanbul by a trader who studied computer science and earned a master's in Advanced Computer Science at the University of Sussex, then got tired of journals that felt like homework. It is a real product, on the App Store with a 4.8-star rating and paying users, not a landing page waiting for a launch.

The app is operated from Istanbul, Turkey. If you want to reach us, about a bug, a broker you wish we supported, or anything else, the door is open.
