Automated trading journal that syncs closed trades from your broker
An automated trading journal is a journal where closed trades sync in from the broker or exchange on their own, so nothing is typed.
Closed trades sync in after one connection
You connect a broker or exchange once in Astro Trading Journal, and closed trades sync into it on their own, so you stop copying fills into a spreadsheet.
Exchanges connect with read-only API keys. That key comes from the exchange and lets the journal read your trade history. Broker and exchange sync is part of Premium.
Where each broker and exchange connects
MetaTrader 5 and TradeLocker connect in the iPhone app and on the web. One TradeLocker login can bring in several trading accounts, including a prop-firm account. A MetaTrader 5 prop-firm account connects in the iPhone app or on the web too.
| Platform | Where you connect | Where trades show |
|---|---|---|
| MetaTrader 5 | iPhone app and the web | iPhone app and the web |
| TradeLocker | iPhone app and the web | iPhone app and the web |
| Binance (spot and futures) | iPhone app | iPhone app and the web |
| Coinbase | iPhone app | iPhone app and the web |
| Kraken | iPhone app | iPhone app and the web |
| Bybit | iPhone app | iPhone app and the web |
| OKX | iPhone app | iPhone app and the web |
| BingX | iPhone app | iPhone app and the web |
| Robinhood Crypto | iPhone app | iPhone app and the web |
Fills from several of these exchanges sit in one journal.
Losing trades stay in the record
Closed trades sync in even when you do not open the journal after a bad session. The losers are included.
In Astro, analytics on that record show net and gross P&L (profit and loss), win rate, and average win against average loss, plus drawdown once you set a starting balance.
The same results break down by symbol, asset class, direction, setup, and playbook. You tag a setup on each synced trade, group those tags into named playbooks, and compare the playbooks side by side to see which setup is ahead, how longs compare with shorts, and which markets to drop.
