Trading journal software for web and iPhone
Trading journal software gives you one place to record trades and review the results instead of splitting the job across spreadsheets and separate tools. Astro Trading Journal brings manual entries, broker sync, analytics and trade reflections together on iPhone and the web.
Record on iPhone, review on the web
Astro uses one account for its iPhone app and full browser-based web app. Enter a trade, note or reflection on either one and it appears on the other.
You can log a trade on your phone, then review the same record on a larger screen later. Both apps calculate metrics using the same rules, so the numbers match across devices.
Manual entry, notes, reflections and analytics are part of the free journal, with no trade cap. The numbers, notes and reflections for each trade all stay together in the journal.
Free journal with optional broker sync
If you do not want to retype every trade, Premium broker and exchange sync can bring trades into the journal automatically. MetaTrader 5 and TradeLocker connect on iPhone and web; supported crypto exchanges are connected from the iPhone app, and those trades also show on the web.
| Connection | Connect from | Coverage |
|---|---|---|
| MetaTrader 5 | iPhone and web | Trades from the connected account |

| OKX | iPhone app | Trades from the connected exchange account |

Exchange connections use read-only API keys. Broker and exchange sync is a Premium feature.
Review results by setup, direction and market
Astro's free analytics show net and gross profit and loss (P&L), win rate, and average win compared with average loss. Once you set a starting balance, the journal also shows drawdown.
Results can be broken down by symbol, asset class, direction, setup and playbook. You can tag trades with setups, group setups into named playbooks, and compare those playbooks side by side to see how your past results differ across setups, long and short trades, and markets.
The Analytics overview shows 77 closed trades with expectancy of +$18.41, net P/L of +$1,417.50, a 55% win rate, profit factor of 1.29, and an equity curve.
